Vikash TMT is produced using the worlds most advance technology, the TEMPCORE, process under license from Center De Recherches Metallurgigues (CRM) Belgium. Manufacturing in their fully computerized and automated integrated Steel Plant situated at Poradiha, Purulia Dist, West Bengal State, India. VIKASH brand TMT bars are superior to the traditional TMT bars in the market, since the answer lies in the Tempcore Technology superior steel quality and hi-tech rolling mill where the installed TEMPCORE process involves rapid quenching and self tempering of hot bars through a series of water jets.
After having left the final rolling mill process (100-1100C) bar passes through quenching system and receives a short/intensive cooling of the surface. Surface of the bar is converted to the hard martenstic (bonded iron & carbide) structure whereas the heart of the bar remains austentic. Martensite surface layer is there by subjected to self tempering that continues until the internal and external temperatures of the bar are equal – 600C. This process is monitored on the cooling bed.

While fixed length of 11/12 meters is manufactured, special lengths can be supplied at the customers request.
The range of TMT bars is 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25, 28 and 32 mm in grades of Fe-415, 500 & 550.
Material can also be supplied as per international standards.
The wide application range being, the general purpose concrete reinforcement structures, like high rise buildings, bridges and flyovers, dams, thermal and hydel power plants, industrial structures and other sophisticated concrete structures.
